Overall Rating:

Our Overall Service
A professional company in all areas of expertise.
Call Representative
Very knowledgeable and spent the time to answer all my questions, and provide all his service information.
Sales Process
The owner came out and made a special presentation. I like that this corporation is run and supervised (all crews) by the owner who lives locally and is very accessible should issues arise during or after.
Our Installation Crew
Extremely hard working and caring. They took extreme care of our surrounding house deck structure and yard vegetation putting up protective barriers for removal of old roofing materials.
The Cleanup Process
Very thorough. Both manual screening the area and the use of a electromagic sweeper to pick up any old roofing material nails so as to not have home owners find them or have tire punctures. All was well post cleaning!

What type of work did you have done:

Roofing

What made you choose our company:

Brian Jenkins is a privately held and run corporation (C. Jenkins Construction). He works the local areas so is very accessible before, during, and after. He directly supervised the work to ensure all quality standards were met by his crew, even though alone his crew would have been hard working and caring for us as their customer. They treated our re-roofing job as if they were doing their own homes. Also, Brian Jenkins uses the best quality materials with the best manufacturer warranty. Mr. Jenkins warranty for labor is excellent in follow-up as well. I interviewed several roofing contractors, but Brian (as a prior service Veteran) has values and ethics that rise above the rest. I felt very comfortable with Brian who explained all the roofing processes, answered questions, and listened to my concerns. Brian did not try to sell me. Other roofing companies tried very hard to sell me making me feel pressured. With Brian you feel no pressure, just someone who cares about you and your home. While Brian is a general contractor and has separate crews for other types of home repair and construction, each crew is professional and Brian never fails (as our re-roof was example) to visit our jobsite and stay at critical times if not all of the day. He spent most of his day in fact ensuring all project points were performed to constructions standards and above, fully meeting all permit requirements for construction. I also like that unlike other roofing contractors, Brian lives locally to all his job sites. He limits himself not overstretch his resources and crews, thus providing more hands on during construction, afterwards as well, and timeliness of services. I also like the fact that Brian and his employees are fully insured for workers compensation and liability, so it doen't fall on the homeowner should any employee accident occur, or damage to the house (there was none). Brian emphasizes safety for his workers and that tells me something about his ethics and moral values, that in turn apply to his customer. As a general contractor Brian is fully licensed in each of his areas of expertise. In fact, one of the things I noticed about his website is that it is full featured unlike other roofers who only have one page saying what service they provide. Brian's website details what works in each area of expertise, then "adds a blog" that contains what you should look out for in a contractor or do not hire them. These are state based pro's and con's of good Consumerism in fields of specialty. Brian is willing to show this on his website to hold himself and his company accountable to the customers best interest. I also noted that in Angies List Brian's company was awarded the 2018 Super Service Award for best in class contractors providing such services. His roofing shingles are American made by CertainTeed and as such he has been rated by homeowners (in my research) as a Home Advisor Elite Service Professional. In all Brian's crew and work, they are truly environmentally friendly by using the old roofing materials removed for recycling into new paving materials saving further green resources. C. Jenkins Construction has been in business since 1999, so they are here to stay and again, are local to their projects. (My doctor referred him to my wife and I. I felt if it's good enough for my doctor, I should look into his business. I am glad I did!). Another feature I appreciated is that all crew and owner arrived and performed all their work in a timely basis. I felt and still do feel that Brian and his company are fully trustworthy! In fact, I have a previous gutter helmut system and even though it wasn't anything to do with his new roofing system, I mentioned the roofing valleys tend to flash flood water over the back corner of the house gutter that soaks our back door, wood, and comes inside on the carpet (happened before gutter gaurd too due to pine needle clogging). Well, Brian came out and attached a gutter flashing at the bottom of the roof valley causing the water to dispurse in a better way to be absorbed by the gutter helmet system. No charge for time, labor, or materials. Just great customer service! Another thing I like about contracting C. Jenkins Construction is that his formal contract is a simple, 1-page document with only the basic information needed to begin. Before Brian started the work he pulled all appropriate permits required locally, had city inspectors verify his work, and met zoning requirements. He really knows his business and I can see he has a passion for the work he provides all homeowners. Before the project start date we scheduled (flexible to my choice), he sent me an email attachment on what to expect and anything I might want prepare such as moving deck furniture, or be aware for house pets of the pounding sound of roofing materials. This was very considerate, thoughtful, and goes the extra mile. Brian and his crew then laid down thick plywood boards on our back wood deck to protect it and draped heavy blue construction plastic all around not only the dect but also the external house areas to protect other wood structures, HVAC systems located outside, and all vegetations. One of the things I really appreciated is he works with a highly rated public adjuster. His public adjuster provided roofing inspection services performed simultaneously with our insurance companies adjusters. Both roofing inspectors got up on the roof and reviewed all storm damages together. With their close work they then were able to write up dual reports with pretty similar results, took it back to their respective offices, and the public adjuster had it reviewed by a third adjuster in their office to oversee the validity of our roofing claim. It was at that point Brian's use of this particular professional public adjuster that they "went to bat" directly on our behalf with our insurance carrier. Brian's public adjuster service really knows the insurance codes of Georgia, they know the insurance companies, and they took the pain out of the process for my wife and I, so all we had to do is sit back and await the adjusters company working with the insurance companies claim department. All finalized, the project day work began, and it was finished in one day including full cleanup. All checks cut by my insurance company under my wife and my names, were received by the public adjuster on C. Jenkin's Construction and my behalf. The public adjuster brought the insurance claim checks to my wife and I, we endorsed them and C. Jenkins Construction was paid along with a percentage for services rendered to both the construction company and public adjuster. Both C. Jenkins Construction and the Public Adjuster company truly earned their keep. I highly recommend Brian Jenkins company for his best business practices in the business of roofing (being a general, he has crews for other home construction works too), and his excellent use of the best Public Adjuster quite possibly in the whole state of Georgia. You will have no doubts when Brian goes to work for you, his customer. You will be more than satisfied with the final product. His quality of work definitely adds resale value to your home.
